Accessing AML Settings
  1. Log into the Creditsafe.com platform.

Key Configuration Areas

1. Sanctions Lists and Datasets
Choose which datasets are included in your AML screening. These may include:
  • Global sanctions lists (e.g., UN, EU, OFAC)
  • Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) databases
  • Adverse media sources
  • Financial crime and watchlists
Enabling or disabling datasets determines what your profiles are screened against.
2. Screening Thresholds
Set the confidence level required for a match to generate an alert.
  • Lower thresholds = more matches (including potential false positives)
  • Higher thresholds = fewer, more precise matches
Adjust thresholds based on your compliance requirements and tolerance for risk.
3. Default Screening Configuration
Define default settings that apply when users run AML screening:
  • Pre-selected datasets
  • Default threshold levels
  • Standard search behavior
This ensures consistency across all users and screening activities.

4. Monitoring Settings
You can apply your AML screening settings to ongoing monitoring:
  • Enable automatic screening for profiles on AML Monitoring
  • Copy screening thresholds to monitoring settings
  • Ensure consistent checks over time
5. Email Alert Configuration
Set up notifications for screening and monitoring results:
  • Define who receives alerts (individual users or groups)
  • Enable alerts for new matches or monitoring updates
  • Customize alert preferences for timely response
Saving Your Settings
After making changes:
  1. Review all selected datasets and thresholds
  2. Confirm alert recipients and monitoring preferences
  3. Click Save to apply updates
Changes will apply to future screening and monitoring activities.
Best Practices
  • Use a balanced threshold to reduce false positives while capturing real risk
  • Regularly review enabled datasets to ensure regulatory coverage
  • Align settings with your internal compliance policies
  • Test changes on a small set of profiles before rolling out broadly
